The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel guidance for British citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain, citing current regional developments. In a statement obtained by Al-Ayyam, the ministry urged citizens to avoid areas near security or military installations, as well as facilities belonging to the US government, due to the ongoing escalation in the region.

Officials noted that Iran continues to target civilian infrastructure across several countries, including hotels, roads, bridges, energy facilities, oil production sites, water systems, and airports. The FCDO reiterated its advice to avoid travel to Bahrain except in cases of extreme necessity.

British nationals in the country are also urged to register their presence and subscribe to the alerts service via the UK Foreign Office’s travel advice page, which provides guidance on emergency procedures.
