Bahrain will remain country of goodness : HM King

The people of Bahrain will always stand united to defend the homeland and protect national achievements, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has said. 

Speaking in the presence of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King said that Bahrain would always remain the county of goodness, cooperation and fraternity between all people. 

HM the King prayed to the Almighty to protect Bahrain and its people and bless them with lasting security, amity and peace, stressing Bahrain’s humanitarian role, openness and long-standing civilisational heritage. 

HM the King was speaking as he received at Al Sakhir Palace yesterday senior members of the Royal Family, Council of Representatives Speaker, Shura Council Chairman, ministers and senior state officials. 

Commenting on the regional developments, HM the King hailed the resolutions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab League which affirmed unwavering support to the stability of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and condemned external interference in the region, thus voicing a strong and clear Arab stance. HM King Hamad paid tributes to brave Bahraini soldiers who had the honour to take part in defending the land of the Two Holy Mosques in a move which stems from Bahrain’s supportive and fraternal stances in all circumstances. 

HM the King hailed the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) servicemen who stood united with their brethren in the Saudi-led Arab Alliance to support legitimacy in Yemen, based on the United Nations (UN) resolutions. HM the King stressed keenness on consolidating national security and developing legislations so as to ensure the security and peace in the homeland. 

HM the King welcomed the attendees, hailing the dedication and contributions of Bahrainis who spare no efforts and work strenuously for the sake of their country’s development and progress. 

HM King Hamad paid tributes to the fathers and forefathers who laid, with their dedicated efforts, the foundations which serve as strong pillars on which present milestones stand. HM the King commended the people of Bahrain, hailing their awareness, firm grasp of challenges and dedication to serve the vital national interests. 

HM the King highlighted current political and economic developments unfolding in the region and stressed the need to muster all efforts and deal with this critical phase with strenuous work, adding that the momentum of reform and development would continue unabated. 

HM King Hamad stressed Bahrain’s keenness on cooperating with all parties and rejecting interference in other countries’ internal affairs. “Our strength stems from our solidarity and the cohesiveness which marked the people of Bahrain all along its deep-rooted history,” HM the King said.

HRH the Premier com-mended the Royal directives, praying for guidance to serve HM the King and the homeland and achieve all the best for Bahrain and its people.
