The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced today that its air defense systems, through the vigilance and dedication of its personnel, have successfully intercepted and destroyed 86 missiles and 148 drones launched in successive waves targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The BDF emphasized that its personnel continue to demonstrate advanced combat readiness and high alertness, maintaining operational efficiency to protect the Kingdom. Their performance, the command said, inspires confidence that Bahrain’s skies remain secure with the help of God.
The General Command urged all residents to stay indoors and only venture out when absolutely necessary, exercise maximum caution, avoid affected areas and suspicious objects, refrain from filming military operations or debris sites, and rely solely on official sources for information. Authorities also stressed the importance of following official government and media channels for updates, alerts, and warnings.
The BDF highlighted that the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian targets and private property constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. These deliberate attacks, the command warned, pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
