Bahrain Parliament Condemns Iranian Missile Attacks
The Bahrain Parliament has strongly condemned the recent Iranian missile attacks targeting Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, describing them as a blatant violation of the sovereignty, security, and stability of the affected countries. The attacks were labeled as a threat to the safety of civilians and residents and a breach of international law and principles of good neighborliness.
In a statement, the Parliament emphasized that the hostile actions of Iran cannot be justified under any circumstances. It affirmed that Bahrain and its allied countries reserve the legal right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect their sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of citizens and residents, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
The lawmakers also praised the efficiency of Bahrain’s air defense systems and commended the efforts of state institutions, the Armed Forces, the Bahrain Defense Force, and the Ministry of Interior for their readiness and capability in defending national security and maintaining the safety of citizens and residents.
The Parliament stressed the importance of following official instructions, exercising caution, avoiding the spread of rumors, and obtaining information only from official sources.
Furthermore, the statement lauded the solidarity of allied and friendly nations with Bahrain, highlighting their commitment to support the Kingdom in all necessary measures.
Finally, the Parliament called on the Inter-Parliamentary Union and all parliamentary organizations and associations to condemn this aggressive act and take immediate, decisive action to halt such hostile attacks, which threaten the foundations of security and stability in the region.
