A push to keep Muharraq Health Centre open 24 hours will be discussed in Parliament on Tuesday, as five MPs call on the government to expand the clinic’s service for residents of the Second Constituency.
The proposal, submitted by MPs Hamad Al Doy, Abdulwahid Qarata, Bader Al Tameemi, Hisham Al Awadhi and Dr Hisham Al Asheeri, aims to ease pressure on King Hamad University Hospital and Halat Bu Maher Health Center, and respond to the high demand from residents who require regular treatment and medicines.
The Services Committee has recommended approval, citing public-interest grounds.
