Bahrain reiterates support for Syria’s sovereignty

Bahrain reaffirmed its support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, security, and territorial integrity, noting the country is at a sensitive stage that requires coordinated international efforts to facilitate refugee returns, reconstruction, economic recovery, and sustainable development.
The statement was delivered by Counselor Sama Sameer Al Aliwat on behalf of Bahrain’s UN Permanent Representative during a UN Security Council meeting on Syria’s political and humanitarian situation.
