Indian Embassy Concludes Year with Fruitful Open House in Bahrain

TDT I Manama

The Embassy of India hosted its final Open House of the year, providing a vital platform for grievance redressal and community support. The session was chaired by the Chargé d'Affaires (Cd'A) and supported by the Embassy’s Consular and Community Welfare teams, alongside a dedicated panel of legal experts.

A significant highlight of the session was the announcement regarding the release of several Indian nationals, including 19 workers from A. Ali Aldaaysi Holding. The Cd'A expressed profound gratitude to the local authorities and community organizations—specifically the Telugu Kala Samithi, Tamil Social & Cultural Association (TASCA), and Bharathi Association—for their collaborative efforts in resolving these cases and facilitating the long-pending clearance of mortal remains.

The Embassy also utilized the forum to announce the launch of Madad 2.0 by the Ministry of External Affairs. This upgraded version of the online grievance redressal portal (https://madad.gov.in/) is designed to provide more efficient assistance to Indian citizens living abroad.

The interactive session saw numerous community issues addressed directly. While many grievances were resolved on-site, the Embassy confirmed that all remaining matters have been noted for immediate follow-up, ensuring a productive close to the year's outreach efforts.
