Muharraq Governor Inaugurates Second Rare Book Fair at Dar Al-Amamra

His Excellency Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai, the Governor of Muharraq, officially inaugurated the second edition of the Book Fair for rare books and magazines at Dar Al-Amamra. Highlighting the event as a significant addition to Bahrain’s cultural landscape, the Governor emphasized that the fair reflects the community's dedication to preserving intellectual and cultural heritage.
During the ceremony, the Governor praised the extensive efforts of historian and poet Mubarak bin Amr Al-Ammari. Al-Ammari has curated a distinguished collection of manuscripts and magazines, some dating back over two hundred years. The Governor noted that this collection serves as a vital reference for researchers and offers the public a unique opportunity to view items of immense historical value.
The Governor further stated that the exhibition's return for a second year is a testament to its initial success and underscores a growing community awareness regarding the importance of reading. He reaffirmed the Governorate's commitment to supporting cultural initiatives that strengthen national identity.
Expressing his gratitude for the Governor’s support, Mubarak bin Amr Al-Ammari invited all bibliophiles and scholars to visit the fair. The exhibition is hosted at Dar Al-Amamra and will remain open to the public from January 3 to January 10, 2026.
