Bahrain-Italy Relations Reach New Heights During Official Visit

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, received Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, today at Al-Sakhir Palace. The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The visit coincides with the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted by Bahrain, where Italy participated as a guest of honor.

During the meeting, His Majesty welcomed the Italian Prime Minister and expressed his gratitude for her attendance at the Gulf summit, highlighting the deep historical and strong ties between Bahrain and Italy. He praised the high level of bilateral relations and emphasized the continued efforts to expand cooperation across all fields that serve the interests of both nations. His Majesty also acknowledged Italy’s important role in international affairs and its contributions to global peace and security.

The leaders also discussed several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

For her part, Prime Minister Meloni thanked His Majesty for the invitation and the warm reception, appreciating Bahrain’s hospitality and his commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

His Majesty King Hamad hosted a dinner in honor of Prime Minister Meloni and her accompanying delegation.
