Southern Municipality Monitors Tree Week Success to Boost Green Spaces

The Southern Region Municipality is actively monitoring the health and sustainability of the 1,000 seedlings planted and distributed between October 12 and 16, 2025, during its “Tree Week” initiative.
This post-planting monitoring, conducted along the Zayed City walkway and other locations in partnership with various community institutions, aims to ensure proper growth and the efficiency of irrigation and maintenance systems.
The municipality reaffirms its commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable development, supporting the national goal of planting 3.6 million trees by 2035 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
