Emirati National Day Marked in Bahrain

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Kingdom of Bahrain held a reception today in celebration of the 54th UAE National Day. The event was attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, members of the Shura and National Councils, senior officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Bahrain, and other distinguished guests.

During the occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, as well as to the rulers of the UAE. The Minister extended best wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and development for the UAE and its people.

Highlighting the significance of the 54th National Day, the Minister recalled the UAE’s journey of establishment, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow rulers. He noted that the UAE’s visionary leadership laid the foundations of a strong and modern state, achieving remarkable progress in sustainable development, innovation, economic diversification, and humanitarian work, positioning the country as a regional and global role model.

The Minister emphasized that National Day represents a bright occasion embodying unity, cohesion, and collective effort, which have enabled the UAE to strengthen its regional and international presence, promote tolerance, and build fruitful relations with countries worldwide.

He also praised the deep and fraternal ties between Bahrain and the UAE, describing them as rooted in decades of cooperation, shared history, and mutual respect. These relations, he said, enjoy close attention from the leaders of both nations, including His Majesty King Hamad, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The Minister affirmed Bahrain’s pride in the continuous development and coordination of bilateral relations across political, economic, security, and developmental fields, reflecting the commitment of both countries’ leaders to a strong strategic partnership that benefits their peoples and contributes to regional stability.

The Minister further commended the UAE’s leading role in promoting peace, stability, humanitarian efforts, and sustainable development, highlighting the country’s commitment to global responsibility and cooperation.

In his speech, His Excellency Fahd Mohammed bin Kardous Al Amri, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, expressed pride in the historic brotherly relations between the two countries and emphasized the UAE’s dedication to strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint initiatives for mutual benefit.

The Ambassador noted that this year’s National Day is celebrated under the theme “United,” reflecting the unity of the Emirati society and the spirit of collaboration and collective action that have defined the UAE since its founding.
