Bahrain Commends Pakistan’s Support for UN Security Council Bid

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed the strength and depth of the longstanding brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He noted that these ties continue to grow and flourish, supported by a rich history of cooperation and productive partnerships across all fields.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the mutual commitment of both nations to further advance their relationship towards broader and more distinguished horizons, in line with the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain.

The remarks came during His Royal Highness’s meeting today at Gudaibiya Palace with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by several senior officials.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the constructive cooperation and fruitful partnerships between the two friendly countries, describing them as a true reflection of the depth and strength of Bahrain–Pakistan relations. He stressed the importance of continuing to build upon existing achievements to open further avenues for collaboration that support shared goals and bring greater prosperity to both nations and their peoples.

His Royal Highness also acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani community in Bahrain and their prominent role across various developmental sectors in the Kingdom.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for Pakistan’s support of the Kingdom’s candidacy for a seat on the United Nations Security Council. He also commended Pakistan’s significant role, alongside allied and friendly nations, in promoting global peace and stability, as well as its continued efforts in supporting Arab and Islamic causes.

The two sides reviewed recent regional and international developments and discussed issues of common interest.

Following the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held official talks with the Pakistani Prime Minister, during which both sides explored promising opportunities for cooperation and joint coordination in all areas—aimed at enhancing growth, prosperity, and mutual objectives for both countries.

Earlier, an official reception ceremony was held for the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister, which included the playing of the national anthems of Bahrain and Pakistan.
