Education at the Heart of Bahrain’s Future – HH Shaikh Isa
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Court of the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, affirmed that education remains a fundamental pillar in building and advancing societies. He noted that investing in education creates lasting impact across generations by fostering creativity, innovation, and preparing national talent capable of shaping a brighter future.
HH Shaikh Isa emphasized that promoting the values of knowledge and giving is a longstanding national approach that supports Bahrain’s ongoing progress and the sustainability of its development, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Isa explained that the Trust was founded in memory of the late His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who dedicated his life to empowering citizens through learning and development. He noted that the late leader’s legacy of generosity continues to inspire the Trust’s mission to widen educational opportunities and support national development during the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.
His Highness made the remarks while attending the 2025 annual ceremony of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, held under his patronage under the theme “Knowledge and Giving.” The event was attended by senior officials and dignitaries.
HH Shaikh Isa highlighted the Trust’s significant role in supporting Bahrain’s educational journey. Over a decade of continuous work, the Trust has established itself as a national model in investing in the country’s youth through high-value opportunities that have helped refine skills and develop future capabilities. He expressed gratitude to all those involved in the Trust for their dedicated efforts and wished students and graduates continued success.
His Highness added that the achievements of scholarship recipients in recent years reflect the real impact of investing in human capital. He said that the ongoing successes of Bahraini youth underscore their competence, excellence, and readiness to lead across various fields. HH Shaikh Isa stressed the importance of expanding the Trust’s high-quality programs and initiatives to further empower students and open new academic and professional pathways.
As part of the ceremony, HH Shaikh Isa wrote a special message to future generations outlining his vision for the education sector and the evolving role of the Trust over the next 25 years. The letter was placed in a time capsule to be opened in 2050.
His Highness also toured a photography exhibition held alongside the event, showcasing a timeline of Bahrain’s educational journey during the era of the late His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The exhibit also highlighted developments in education under the era of His Majesty the King and the milestones of the Isa bin Salman Trust in supporting Bahraini youth.
During the ceremony, several strategic and platinum partners of the Trust were honored. The graduating students who earned training awards were also announced as part of the Trust’s “Mirsaat” development program, which aims to strengthen students’ skills and readiness for the workforce.
Malaak Ahmed Habib received the first training award, presented by Bapco Energies.
Salah Mahdi Kazem received the second training award, presented by the National Bank of Bahrain and Tamkeen.
Shouq Salah Al Bustaki received the third training award, also presented by the National Bank of Bahrain and Tamkeen.
The scholarship recipients and honorees expressed their gratitude to HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman for patronizing the annual ceremony. They said his presence reflects his commitment to empowering Bahraini youth through access to quality education, adding that they are proud and motivated by the continuous support they receive to pursue their academic and professional ambitions in service of Bahrain.
