HRH Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet, Celebrates Bahrain’s Global Success
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting today at Gudaibiya Palace, underscoring Bahrain’s ongoing momentum in sports, diplomacy, and economic development.
The Cabinet celebrated the Kingdom’s successful hosting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, recognizing the outstanding achievements of Bahraini athletes. Special appreciation was extended to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their leadership in advancing youth and sports initiatives across the Kingdom.
Turning to international engagement, the Cabinet congratulated His Majesty the King on the successful IISS Manama Dialogue 2025, noting the forum’s vital role in promoting regional and global security cooperation. The Cabinet also acknowledged Bahrain’s participation in the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, with His Royal Highness attending on behalf of His Majesty. The museum, celebrated as a symbol of Egypt’s rich cultural heritage, was lauded for strengthening ties and mutual understanding between nations.
Economic progress featured prominently on the agenda, with the Cabinet highlighting the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2025, hosted under the Crown Prince’s patronage. The forum, a premier regional platform, showcased 61 new initiatives and 33 agreements totaling approximately USD 17 billion, reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a hub for investment and growth.
The Cabinet expressed condolences to the family of a citizen lost at sea, emphasizing adherence to maritime safety regulations and commending the swift response of the Coast Guard, alongside the support of Qatar’s General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security.
In addition, the Cabinet congratulated Bahraini healthcare professionals on Bahraini Doctor’s Day, recognizing their tireless contributions to the Kingdom’s medical services. It also welcomed the UN Security Council resolution on Western Sahara, highlighting the importance of negotiations and international diplomacy in achieving lasting solutions.
The Cabinet approved several key memorandums, including Bahrain’s accession to the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement for automatic financial information exchange, initiatives promoting tolerance and combating hate speech, and multiple agreements enhancing education, tourism, and strategic partnerships with international institutions and the European Union.
Ministerial reports reviewed included Bahrain’s engagement in the Future Investment Initiative Forum, the 27th GCC Ministerial Committee for Transport and Communications, and the Global Health Forum 2025, reflecting the Kingdom’s growing influence in regional and global discussions.
The meeting reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to progress, innovation, and collaboration across sports, culture, economy, and diplomacy, under the guidance of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
