Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Meets Yemeni Presidential Council Chairman at UN Headquarters
His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, met today at the United Nations headquarters in New York with His Excellency Major General Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the sisterly Republic of Yemen. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the strong fraternal ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen, which continue to grow and develop across various fields. They explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests and benefits the peoples of both countries.
The discussion also covered regional developments, the latest situation in Yemen, and ongoing regional and international efforts to support security and stability in the country. Both sides emphasized the importance of meeting the aspirations of the Yemeni people for peace, development, and prosperity. The meeting also included an exchange of views on current regional issues and topics of shared interest.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York; Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Ali Khalid Al Arifi, Director of Al-Madar Center.
