Bahrain, Pakistan Relations Continue to Strengthen Through Parliamentary Diplomacy

Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed the advanced levels of cooperation and coordination that characterize the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

This came during his meeting today at Al Qudaibiya Palace with His Excellency Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, who is visiting the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, and Minister of Shura Council and Parliament Affairs, His Excellency Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain.

At the outset, the Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the Pakistani parliamentary delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Bahrain. He emphasized that such official visits provide valuable opportunities for dialogue and the exchange of expertise, particularly in legislative fields. These efforts, he noted, reinforce the concept of parliamentary diplomacy and support the implementation of joint programs.

Shaikh Khalid highlighted the continuous growth of bilateral cooperation, reflecting the strength of historical ties built on mutual respect and the shared commitment to expand partnerships that serve both nations’ common interests.

He also expressed his appreciation for the Pakistani community’s contributions to Bahrain’s development and progress, noting the respect and recognition its members enjoy within a society that embraces diversity and promotes coexistence and tolerance.

The meeting also reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and discussed the latest regional and international developments.

For his part, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm reception, praising the steady development of Bahrain–Pakistan relations across various fields, and wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
