Bahrain Welcomes Quad Joint Statement on Restoring Peace and Security in Sudan
The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the joint statement issued by the Quad countries, expressing strong support for efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Republic of Sudan. The statement emphasized the importance of safeguarding Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity while contributing to regional peace, security, and stability.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Bahrain’s appreciation for the initiatives led by the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America. The Ministry praised their ongoing efforts to end the conflict in Sudan and their call on all parties to agree to a humanitarian truce.
Bahrain also underlined the importance of ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, and advancing dialogue in line with the Jeddah Declaration and relevant international resolutions. The Kingdom stressed that such steps are essential in realizing the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
