Colour-Coded Student IDs to Ensure Safe Commute for Bahraini Students
The Ministry of Education has directed public schools to issue student ID cards for the new 2025/2026 academic year. The move aims to ensure a smooth and organized start to the school year.
According to the Ministry, the ID cards are part of ongoing efforts to enhance school discipline and facilitate communication between schools and parents. The cards will contain essential information to help quickly identify students.
The front of the card will display the student’s name, grade, and parent’s contact number, while the back will include the school’s name and contact details. This design strengthens official communication channels and helps identify students in emergencies.
The cards are designed to be clear and user-friendly, with specific colors assigned based on students’ mode of transportation. Yellow cards are for students using official school buses, while green cards are for those using private transportation. This system aims to improve student movement and ensure safety during commutes.
The Ministry emphasized that school principals must take the necessary steps to distribute the cards at the start of the school year. This initiative is part of a broader plan that includes preparing school buildings, distributing textbooks, and providing teaching and administrative staff to ensure a smooth start to the academic year.
