Capital Municipality to Act on Abandoned Facilities Along Karbabad Coast

The Capital Municipality Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring public sites, including food carts and inactive establishments, through regular inspection campaigns aimed at preserving the integrity and aesthetics of shared spaces. During these campaigns, violators are notified to remove encroachments within legally specified deadlines. In cases of non-compliance, the Secretariat takes legal measures to ensure public spaces are maintained for the benefit of the community.

Highlighting the importance of Karbabad Coast, the Secretariat noted the area’s prime location overlooking one of the Kingdom’s most prominent historical landmarks. Authorities are developing a comprehensive plan to remove abandoned vehicles and facilities while supporting Bahraini business owners, striking a balance between urban development, environmental conservation, and visual appeal.

The Secretariat stressed that maintaining cleanliness and safety along coasts and open areas is a shared responsibility. Collaboration among official bodies, business owners, and community members is essential to enhance waterfront aesthetics and ensure their sustainability for future generations.
