His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the pivotal role of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in supporting the Kingdom’s trade and industrial sectors, describing the Chamber as an essential partner in Bahrain’s journey of growth and development.

The King made these remarks while receiving BCCI Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass and several board members at Safriya Palace. The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

His Majesty congratulated the Chamber on its anniversary, noting its historic significance as the first commercial chamber in the Gulf region, established in 1910 during the reign of the late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa. He commended the contributions of current and former board members and Bahraini business leaders, whose efforts have helped strengthen the Kingdom’s commercial landscape and launch pioneering projects that boosted the national economy.

The King highlighted the Chamber’s role as the voice of the private sector, reaffirming his support for Bahrain’s business community and encouraging the Chamber to continue its leadership in advancing economic development.

BCCI Chairman Sameer Nass expressed his deep gratitude to His Majesty for his continuous support and guidance, noting that this backing enables the private sector to play a vital role in Bahrain’s growth. He also briefed the King on the Chamber’s key initiatives and economic programs, both locally and internationally.
