HM King Hamad Welcomes Top U.S. Commander, Highlights Strong Bahrain-U.S. Ties

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael Kurilla at Al-Safriya Palace on Saturday.
The meeting was held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister, as well as senior members of the Royal Family and military leadership, including:
His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Personal Representative,
His Highness Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard,
His Highness Brigadier General Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force.
During the meeting, His Majesty warmly welcomed General Kurilla and praised his ongoing efforts to enhance defense and security cooperation between Bahrain and the United States.
King Hamad reaffirmed the long-standing and trusted partnership between the two nations, describing it as one built on decades of mutual respect, strategic collaboration, and deep-rooted friendship. He noted the continuous progress in bilateral cooperation across all fields.
His Majesty also commended the vital role played by the United States in supporting regional security and stability. The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments, especially the latest updates from the Middle East.
To mark the occasion, King Hamad hosted a luncheon in honor of General Kurilla and the accompanying U.S. delegation.
