Minister of Industry and Commerce Conducts Market Inspection Ahead of Ramadan

His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, conducted a field inspection of Carrefour Bahrain, a subsidiary of Majid Al Futtaim Group, at Marassi Galleria in Diyar Al Muharraq and Midway in Tubli. The visit was attended by senior ministry officials and aimed to assess preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

During the inspection, the minister reviewed the store’s proactive measures to ensure an adequate supply of essential food products and Ramadan-specific goods, including dates, sweets, and fresh produce.

He also engaged in discussions with store officials regarding current market conditions and expectations for Ramadan. Emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the ministry and the private sector, he stressed the need to maintain the availability of goods and price stability throughout the month.

The minister underscored the importance of retailers addressing consumer feedback and enhancing service quality. He reiterated the significance of price stability during Ramadan, highlighting it as a time to foster solidarity and cooperation within the community. Additionally, he affirmed the ministry’s commitment to monitoring markets and taking necessary measures to regulate prices and ensure products remain affordable for consumers.
