His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, chaired the regular meeting of the Equality Opportunities Committee, where the efforts to enhance opportunities for supporting and advancing women in various fields of the ministry’s work were reviewed.

During the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman emphasised that the committee continues to implement its initiatives and plans aimed at addressing the functional needs of women and raising awareness about their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. He pointed out that equality of opportunities is one of the principles that have contributed to enhancing the presence of Bahraini women in all production sectors of the labor market.

He also emphasised that the committee continues to implement initiatives aimed at strengthening the joint national efforts to support the advancement of Bahraini women and meet their needs within the development plans and programs. This includes intensifying efforts to promote the principle of gender equality, reinforcing the principles of competitiveness and fairness in the workplace.
