Bahraini Military Personnel Achieve Top Ranks in International Quran Competition

Several members of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) have secured top positions in the 10th International Quran Memorization Competition for Military Personnel. The prestigious event, organized by the General Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saw participation from 179 contestants representing 32 countries. The competition ran from January 28 to February 9, 2025.
The success of the Bahraini military personnel is a testament to the high regard placed on the Holy Quran under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. It also reflects the continued support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. Additionally, the dedication to promoting Quranic studies within the BDF follows the directives of Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
In the competition, Sergeant Ahmed Allahbi secured fourth place in the full Quran memorization category. Captain Zubair Mubarak Al-Hadi achieved fifth place in the 15 Juz' memorization category. Private First Class Ahmed Jaber Mohammed earned second place in the 5 Juz' category, while Captain Ammar Ibrahim Fazee placed third in the 3 Juz' category. Furthermore, Major Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Shami claimed fifth place in the category of best recitation and performance.
These outstanding achievements underscore the commitment of Bahrain's military personnel to the preservation and recitation of the Holy Quran, reinforcing the Kingdom’s longstanding tradition of excellence in religious and spiritual endeavors.
