Kuwaiti envoy praises smooth transfer of pilgrims to Arafat
A senior Kuwaiti official has praised the success of the transport plan that moved Kuwaiti pilgrims to the Plain of Arafat during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Youssef Al-Teneib said Kuwaiti pilgrims arrived according to schedule under a carefully coordinated batching system.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Teneib described the operation as smooth and well-organised, highlighting the efficiency of the arrangements put in place for pilgrims.
He also commended Saudi Arabia for its extensive preparations and precise organisation of the Hajj season, praising the services provided to pilgrims, often referred to in Arabic as the “Guests of the Merciful”.
The annual Hajj pilgrimage sees millions of Muslims gather in the holy sites of Mecca and surrounding areas, with the movement to Arafat regarded as one of the most significant stages of the pilgrimage.
Saudi authorities implement large-scale transport and crowd-management plans each year to ensure the safe and timely movement of pilgrims between the holy sites.
