Saudi Arabia rules out Israel normalization without Palestinian state

Riyadh calls for credible guarantees to ensure implementation of a two-state solution

Saudi Arabia has reiterated that it will not normalize relations with Israel unless an independent Palestinian state is established, according to a Saudi source cited by CNN.

The source said there could be “no normalization” without a “clear and definitive path” towards Palestinian statehood, underlining Riyadh’s long-standing position on the conflict.

According to the source, any future agreement involving Israel must include credible guarantees ensuring the implementation of a two-state solution.

The official stressed that Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Palestinian issue remains unchanged despite ongoing regional and international discussions surrounding normalization efforts.

Riyadh believes that peace and stability in the Middle East depend on reaching a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian question, the source added. Such a settlement, the official said, must guarantee the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly maintained that a lasting peace can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on international legitimacy and relevant international resolutions.
