OIC Condemns Terror Attack on Police Post in Pakistan
Jeddah, 11 May — The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a police post in the Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in north-western Pakistan, which resulted in the killing and injury of several security personnel.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, the OIC expressed its deep condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims. It also wished a swift recovery for those injured in the attack.
The organization reaffirmed its solidarity with Pakistan in confronting terrorism and violence, stressing its continued support for efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the country.
The OIC also reiterated its firm and principled stance rejecting terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations, emphasizing the need for coordinated international efforts to combat such threats and protect civilian lives and security forces.
