Trump Rejects Iran’s Peace Terms as Negotiations Stall

Washington DC: President Donald Trump has officially rejected a peace proposal from Iran, calling the terms ‘totally unacceptable.’ The response was sent through Pakistan, which has been acting as a middleman to help end the fighting between the two countries. Trump shared on Truth Social that he did not like the plan as it did not meet his administration’s requirements for a deal.

Iran’s proposal focused on ending the war on all sides, including the conflict in Lebanon. They also asked for the safety of ships traveling through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital path for the world’s oil. Currently, both the US and Iran have blockaded this area, making it difficult for supplies to move. Iran’s plan wanted these issues settled before moving on to bigger problems, like their nuclear program.

The situation has become more tense because Iran also issued a warning to the United Kingdom and France. They told these countries that any warships sent to the Strait of Hormuz would face a "decisive response." This threat makes it harder for other nations to help keep the waters safe for trade and adds to the fear that the war could spread further.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is not ready to set a date as to when the war would end. He believes that Iran’s nuclear materials still need to be removed to ensure long-term safety, regardless of the current peace talks.
