Jordan’s Senate President Affirms Full Solidarity with Bahrain

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received a letter from Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Jordanian Senate, expressing full solidarity and firm support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its leadership under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He affirmed the Jordanian Senate’s support for Bahrain’s right to safeguard its sovereignty and defend its security and stability.

Al Fayez stated that Jordan stands alongside Bahrain, its leadership, and its people in facing current challenges, echoing the position of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. He emphasized that Arab and regional solidarity remains a key pillar in advancing the shared interests of nations and their peoples.

He also expressed firm rejection of any threats or hostile actions targeting Bahrain’s safety or the security of its people, stressing that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of regional stability. Any attempt to undermine it, he said, constitutes unacceptable escalation and a clear violation of sovereignty and international law.

The Jordanian Senate President praised Bahrain’s responsible leadership role in promoting regional stability and advocating dialogue and peaceful solutions. He also called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities in preventing any aggression or escalation that could threaten international peace and security.

For his part, Al Saleh expressed deep appreciation for Jordan’s supportive stance, commending the Kingdom of Jordan’s continued backing of Bahrain in all measures taken to protect its sovereignty and maintain security and stability, particularly in light of recent regional tensions.

He highlighted the strong and longstanding fraternal and strategic ties between Bahrain and Jordan, noting that ongoing exchanges between the leaderships of both countries reflect deep-rooted unity and alignment in positions on regional security issues.

Al Saleh also welcomed the sentiments expressed in the letter, reaffirming Bahrain’s solidarity with Jordan in facing any threats to its sovereignty, security, and stability.
