US Denies Claims of F-15 Downing, Confirms No Aircraft Lost

Reports suggesting that Iran had shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet amid the ongoing West Asia tensions have been refuted by the U.S. Central Command, which called the claims unfounded and misleading.

In an official statement shared on X, the U.S. Central Command said that more than 8,000 combat sorties have been carried out under Operation Epic Fury, with no American fighter jets lost during these operations. The statement emphasized that missions are proceeding as planned, maintaining operational efficiency and safety.

Earlier, Iran-based Press TV reported that its air defense systems had intercepted and downed a U.S. F-15 fighter described as “hostile” near Hormuz Island along Iran’s southern coast. The U.S. Central Command dismissed these claims, reaffirming that all American aircraft remain safe.
