Kuwait Arrests 14 in Terror Cell Case Linked to Hezbollah

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced on Monday that security forces have arrested 14 individuals suspected of belonging to a terrorist cell linked to Lebanon’s Hezbollah, a group banned in Kuwait.

According to the ministry, the suspects include 12 Kuwaiti nationals and two Lebanese citizens. Authorities said the group was planning terrorist activities aimed at threatening the country’s security and recruiting individuals to join the organization.

Security forces seized weapons and ammunition during the operation, including a firearm described as being used for assassinations. Officials also reported the confiscation of drones, Morse code communication devices, maps, photographs, banners associated with the group, training materials, cash, and narcotics.

The ministry stated that legal procedures are underway against the suspects as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security.
