JERUSALEM: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has announced that the conflict with Iran is "escalating" and entering a "decisive phase" that will continue as long as necessary. Speaking at a situational assessment this morning with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and military leadership, Katz noted that the Israeli Air Force is maintaining a "powerful wave of attacks" on Tehran and throughout the country.
“The global and regional struggle against Iran, led by U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is escalating and entering the decisive phase that will continue as long as necessary,” Katz said
Katz also praised the U.S. President Donald Trump for delivering a "severe blow" to Iran’s primary oil terminal on Kharg Island last night. He described the strike, which Trump claimed "obliterated" military targets on the island, as an appropriate response to Iranian actions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite the ongoing military campaign, Katz emphasized that "only the Iranian people" can truly end the conflict by overthrowing the regime through a determined struggle.
