LuLu Imports 100+ Tonnes of Food to Bahrain via Gulf Air Flights

Reaffirming its commitment to supporting food security in the Kingdom, LuLu Group has facilitated the arrival of more than 100 tonnes of food essentials into Bahrain through special repatriation flights operated by the national carrier, Gulf Air, from Dammam.

So far, nine flights have landed carrying a wide range of essential food items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, juices, coconut water, grocery products, pulses, and bottled water. The shipments are being distributed across LuLu stores in Bahrain to ensure continued availability for customers.

The supplies were sourced from multiple international markets, including Kochi, Mumbai, London, and Thailand, reflecting LuLu’s global procurement network and logistics coordination to maintain consistent stock levels.

This initiative follows similar cargo operations led by LuLu Group, which transported 160 tonnes of food essentials from India to the UAE via special Emirates cargo flights and 82 tonnes to Kuwait through Kuwait Airways. These efforts highlight the group’s coordinated strategy to support stable food supplies across the GCC region.

Yusuffali M. A., Chairman of LuLu Group, reaffirmed that the company has implemented comprehensive measures to maintain adequate food stocks and ensure price stability across its stores, emphasizing that there is no cause for concern.
