Menzies Aviation Secures Seven-Year Freighter Handling License at Brussels Airport

Menzies Aviation, a leading global airport and airline service partner, has been granted a seven-year freighter handling license at Brussels Airport (BRU) in Belgium.

This move marks Belgium’s entry into Menzies Aviation’s expanding global network, which now spans over 350 airports across 65 countries. The company aims to strengthen its freighter handling and airside services at key international hubs.

Brussels Airport is a major European gateway for cargo operations, handling freighter traffic in pharmaceuticals, perishables, and high-value goods. With the new license, Menzies plans to improve aircraft turnaround times, streamline ground handling, and ensure safe, reliable, and consistent service for freighter airlines.

Menzies has already begun operations for LATAM Cargo, supporting 15 weekly turns through three daily flights, five days a week. This connects Belgium to LATAM’s growing Europe–Latin America network and meets rising demand for high-quality cargo handling.

Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson, Executive Vice President Europe at Menzies Aviation, said: “This license highlights our freighter handling expertise. Launching operations with LATAM at BRU lays a strong foundation for the future. Our teams are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service while raising standards at this important cargo hub.”
