Young Saudi Nurse Saves Man’s Life in Riyadh Traffic Accident
A young Saudi nurse, Tahani Al-Anzi, heroically saved the life of a man in his 50s after he was run over and suffered a severe head injury in Riyadh. The incident occurred near the National Guard Hospital, according to Al Arabiya.net.
Al-Anzi was on her way to a café with her family when she came across the accident. “My family's car stopped in the middle of the road, and I ran with my brother toward the injured man, only to find he was not breathing,” she said. She quickly called for help and carefully moved the man to the side of the road, stabilizing his head and neck before starting CPR.
Despite moments when his pulse briefly returned and then stopped again, Al-Anzi continued administering life-saving measures until Saudi Red Crescent teams arrived. The paramedics took over, completed the CPR, and transported the man to the hospital.
Al-Anzi, who has previously intervened in emergencies outside the hospital, described her actions as a humanitarian duty. “I consider it a responsibility for every healthcare practitioner to save a life whenever and wherever possible,” she said.
A video capturing her swift and professional response went viral on social media, with many praising her courage and dedication under the hashtag #NurseTahaniAlAnzi. Users hailed her as a shining example of Saudi medical personnel, demonstrating both professionalism and humanity.
