Emirates Extends World Rugby Partnership Through 2035

Emirates has renewed its partnership with World Rugby for another decade, becoming the first-ever Platinum Partner and continuing as Principal Partner through 2035. This move strengthens one of rugby’s longest-standing collaborations.

Under the new agreement, Emirates will remain the Principal Partner for upcoming Men’s and Women’s Rugby World Cups, including the 2027 and 2029 tournaments in Australia, the 2031 and 2033 events in the United States, and the 2035 Men’s Rugby World Cup. The airline will also support qualifying rounds for all Rugby World Cup events.

Emirates will continue to enjoy prominent branding at all Rugby World Cup matches, including pitch-side advertising, logos on World Rugby’s digital platforms, and inclusion in official press and promotional materials. Match officials at international rugby tournaments will keep wearing Emirates-branded kits and be named “Emirates World Rugby Match Officials,” covering events like the Six Nations, Rugby Championship, and British & Irish Lions tours.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said the extension highlights shared values between the airline and the sport, including integrity, teamwork, and connecting people worldwide. “Rugby continues to grow globally, and we are committed to bringing fans from every corner of the world to experience these tournaments live,” he said.

World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin praised Emirates for its decades-long support. “Their partnership has been key to rugby’s growth at all levels, and this renewal reflects our shared ambition to expand the sport worldwide,” he said.

The partnership will also focus on community engagement and grassroots rugby development in markets across Emirates’ global network.
