Exotic ASEAN festival in LuLu Hypermarket

Manama : LuLu Hypermarket and ASEAN Bahrain Council, with the cooperation of ASEAN Committee in Manama, Bahrain (ACMB) is holding a first of its kind “ASEAN Delight” celebration in Ramli Mall. Inaugurated on Thursday, Embassies of five ASEAN countries - Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Brunei are actively supporting and participating in the festival. 

ASEAN Delight is a celebration of ASEAN food and culture, and an exhibition of the products and tourism destinations of ASEAN countries. Chief guest Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kingdom of Bahrain, Juzer Rupawala, Director LuLu International Group,  Shaikh Daij bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of ASEAN Bahrain Council and Ambassadors of the five participating countries jointly inaugurated the festival. 

“This is the first major activity of the ASEAN Bahrain Council to promote these countries and we thank LuLu Hypermarket for their generous support,” said Shaik Daij bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of ASEAN Bahrain Council. LuLu Group Director, Juzer Rupawala said the event provides an opportunity for here to get a glimpse- and a taste – of exotic ASEAN delights. The festivities will end today with a cultural performance and cookery demos by the Chefs from ASEAN countries.
