Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company Sponsors Team Bahrain

BKIC’s sponsorship supports the officials representing the Kingdom at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

As part of its national responsibility and commitment to supporting Team Bahrain, Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (BKIC) has announced its sponsorship of more than 500 Bahrain Motor Federation officials (Marshals), who will represent the Kingdom at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, taking place in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit from 2 to 4 October 2026.

Under the leadership of Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Motor Federation and FIA Vice-President for Sport for the Middle East and North Africa, the Federation’s delegation will contribute its experience, professionalism and operational expertise across several key areas of the event. Its participation demonstrates the capabilities developed through Bahrain’s more than 20 years of experience in organising Formula 1 events in Bahrain and internationally, reinforcing the Kingdom’s recognised position within the global motorsport community.

Through this sponsorship, BKIC will provide the participating officials with travel insurance coverage, including emergency medical expenses, personal accident benefits and protection against travel inconveniences, subject to the policy’s applicable terms and conditions.

The participation of the Bahrain Motor Federation delegation reflects the Kingdom’s enduring commitment to Formula 1 and its important role within the international motorsport community. It also forms part of the wider national effort to successfully deliver the event and ensure the continuation of the Bahrain Grand Prix on the 2026 Formula 1 calendar despite the exceptional circumstances.

The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 represents a significant chapter in Bahrain’s motorsport journey. The event marks the first time the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held outside the Kingdom while retaining the identity and spirit of Bahrain’s race. Staging the event at Sepang demonstrates Bahrain’s vision, adaptability and continued commitment to the sport, while highlighting the close cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia.
