Bahrain-Saudi Trade Hits $3.93 Billion in 2025

Bahrain’s economic ties with Saudi Arabia continued to strengthen in 2025, with non-oil trade between the two countries reaching around USD 3.93 billion, according to Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman, Nabeel Khalid Kanoo.

The figure represents a 1% increase from approximately USD 3.88 billion recorded in 2024, highlighting the continued strength of trade and investment links between the two neighbouring countries.

Mr. Kano said Saudi Arabia’s National Day is an opportunity to celebrate the Kingdom’s economic and development achievements, which have strengthened its regional and international position while creating wider opportunities for trade, investment and economic integration.

He described Bahrain-Saudi relations as rooted in longstanding historical and fraternal ties that have developed into a comprehensive strategic partnership, supported by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Mr. Kano also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s rapid economic transformation and diversification efforts under the leadership of His Majesty King Salman and the ambitious vision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He said the Kingdom’s strategic projects and economic diversification programmes were strengthening its investment environment and opening new areas for partnerships, including opportunities for Bahraini companies.

The Bahrain Chamber, he added, remains committed to strengthening cooperation with Saudi chambers, economic institutions and the business community, while connecting Bahraini businesses and investors with emerging opportunities.

According to data from Bahrain’s Information & eGovernment Authority, Bahrain’s exports to Saudi Arabia reached approximately USD 3.03 billion in 2025, while imports stood at around USD 905.2 million.

This resulted in a trade surplus of more than USD 2.12 billion in Bahrain’s favour, reflecting the scale of economic ties between the two markets and the potential for further private-sector cooperation.
