‘KK Live in Concert’ all set to enthral Bahrain audience
After the tremendous success of Dandiya and Anand Mela, Indian Ladies Association (ILA) is coming up with yet another exciting event.
ILA fundraiser ‘KK Live in Concert’ in aid of Sneha School for special needs will be held on November 21, Saturday, at the Indian School ground, Isa Town at 7:30 pm.
Famous Bollywood Singer KK with his seven-member team is coming from India for the show.
ILA president Nivedita said the tickets to this fundraising show were for sale.
“We have had many fundraisers in the past with great Bollywood artists from the music world and cinema. To name a few who performed for us are Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Babul Supriyo, Shabana Azmi, Farooq Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher and theatrical genius Paresh Rawal. We promise this ‘KK Live in Concert’ will also definitely be a real entertainer for all,” said Nivedita.
Krishna Kumar Kunnath, better known as KK, is considered among the top playback singers in Bollywood. He has been greatly influenced by the singer Kishore Kumar and music director R. D Burman. KK is the only singer who can’t attune to the concept that a singer’s face must be prominently seen. KK believes in “A singer must be heard.”
In 1999, KK bagged the prestigious Screen Award as the Best Singer for his solo (non- filmy) album PAL under Sony Music. He teamed up with his mentor Leslie Lewis for PAL, which has become his trademark album and is a must in all his concerts.
Some of his contemporary songs which have made a mark in recent times include Awarapan Banjarapan (Jism), Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Tu Ashique Hai (Jhankar Beats), Zara Sa (Jannat), Ankhon Me Teri (OSO), Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno), Tu Hi Meri Shab (Gangster), Desi Boyz, Tune Mari Entriya (Gunday) and the hugely popular Tamil song Appadi Podu (Ghilli).
If one is to name the versatile singers in Bollywood, KK’s name cannot be missed out from the list. From singing romantic numbers to crooning upbeat songs, KK has done it all with absolute dedication.
With his soothing voice, he has given every song an identity and made a place for himself in the hearts of millions of Hindi music lovers.
