Intensify ties for better growth, security: Bahrain Premier

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said attempts to subvert regional security will not stop, as the Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday the Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, MPs, Shura Council members, former Speaker Khalifa Al Dhahrani and a number of senior state officials.

“Such challenges require us to safeguard our internal security through solidarity between the government and the representatives of the people to overcome their dangers,” the Premier said.

“The global economic situation makes it necessary for us to focus on the investment potentials at the local level, which requires a legislative support from the Representatives and Shura council,” Prince Khalifa said, noting that the national economic and development achievements were the outcome of collective cooperation.

The Prime Minister said cooperation should be intensified to move to new phases of growth, based on a diversified economic base, especially amid the existing global economic conditions.

Prince Khalifa lauded the role played by the Representatives and Shura councils, and in supporting the development march, led by the government.

The Premier emphasised that the Executive-Legislature cooperation was expanding gradually, thanks to the joint desire of both sides to optimise national gains.
