Coalition restored hope in Arab solidarity: Premier

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that efforts of Saudi-led Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen had restored hope in the Arab solidarity and its ability to deal firmly with attempts to interfere into Arab domestic affairs. 

“It also confirmed the wise vision of King Salman and the leading role of Saudi Arabia to safeguard the security and unity of Arab countries and maintain its historical status as the protective bulwark for Arabs,” he said during his meeting with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud here yesterday. 

Prince Khalifa, who arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday, remarked: “Bahrain’s participation in the Arab Coalition reflects its commitment to the common destiny of Arab countries and people.” Earlier, Prince Khalifa was received here by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the meeting, King Salman reiterated his country’s firm stance in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields. HRH Premier said that Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were linked by long-standing fraternal ties and common destiny.

Later, HRH Premier left for Bahrain. He was seen off at the airport by the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, senior Saudi officials and the Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The Premier also sent a message to Saudi King lauding the warm hospitality.
