Gulf Air congratulates royal leadership on F1 achievement

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, congratulates the Bahraini leadership and public on the successful hosting of the 2021 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Waleed AlAlawi said: “The success of this year’s race is a testament to the commitment and efforts of our leadership and the Bahraini people as a whole.

It has been challenging to organise a mega event amidst the current situation, however, Bahrain proofed once again that it can host a successful Formula 1 race under all restrictions and limitations.

“Safety was the priority for all visitors and all stakeholders; everything went very smooth. We thank our colleagues in the Bahrain International Circuit and everyone who contributed to the success of the event from ministries, authorities and the private sector”.

Gulf Air has been the title sponsor of the Bahrain Grand Prix since it made history in April 2004 as the first Formula 1 Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East.

Since then, the airline has been instrumental in the success of the event and the benefits it has brought to Bahrain’s economy. Gulf Air is a proud ambassador for Bahrain and plays an important role in supporting the Kingdom’s diversification in areas such as tourism and world-class events.
