Countries around the world continue to send their heartfelt condolences to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s royal leadership and people on the death of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Sharing their condolences and grief, the international community praised the remarkable role and contributions of the late HRH the Premier in the regional and Arab issues, and recognised his efforts to best serve his country. From diplomats to senior government officials to heads of states, friendly countries recalled that the late HRH the Premier passed away after a life full of achievements and benevolence.

With his death, they noted, the world lost a leader of humanity and pioneer in the modern development of the Kingdom, who always sought goodness and peace and cooperation and solidarity among people of his homeland, the region and the world.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday received cables of condolences from British Ambassador Roddy Drummond, Italian Ambassador Paola Amadei, Thailand King HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Russian Ambassador Igor Kremnev, among others.

HM the King also received a phone call from Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Also yesterday, HM the King received at Safriya Palace members of the Royal Family Council who paid homage to late HRH Prince Khalifa, recalling his good qualities and achievements in serving the Kingdom and contributing to its growth and prosperity.

They wished HM the King abundant health and happiness and a long life and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, success in assuming national duties.
