Four more deaths from COVID-19

The Ministry of Health reported four more deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday, bringing the total number of virus-related fatalities in the Kingdom to 108. The deceased included an 80-year-old Bahraini woman, a 68-year-old Bahraini man, and two expatriate men aged 48 and 29.

The Health Ministry expressed its condolences to the victims’ families. Meanwhile, the Ministry announced early this morning that out of 9,589 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 471 new cases were detected. These included 274 expatriate workers, 190 contacts of active cases, and seven travel-related cases.

There were also 597 additional recoveries from the virus yesterday, bringing the Kingdom’s total number of discharged individuals to 28,425. The total number of current active cases went to 4,408, with 47 in critical condition and 118 cases receiving treatment. The remaining 4,361 cases are stable. The total tests conducted increased to 666,248.
