Justice Minister visits UAE Federal National Council
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa visited the Federal National Council (FNC) headquarters at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC).
He hailed the UAE parliamentary practices, stressing the landmark steps taken by its leadership to strengthen popular participation, promote political modernization, bolster the FNC role and expand its powers to meet the requirements of the UAE at this defining stage of its history.
The UAE News Agency (WAM) quoted the minister saying, The parliamentary strides translate the desire of UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to empower the people and promote legislative work in all spheres.
He lauded the UAE social strides, stressing the FNC participations in Arab, regional and international events. The minister was briefed about the cutting edge technology being used in ballot counting, stressing the procedures of the High Elections Committee to streamline measures for voters.
