NIHR confirm plans to conduct checks

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) plans to visit quarantine centres to meet the medical staff and the infected individuals, to ensure that the actions taken are in line with the established international guidelines set out by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
This was said by NIHR chairperson Maria Khoury during a remote meeting with vice-chairperson Khaled Alshaer and Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee head Malallah Al Hammadi. The NIHR stressed on the importance of the right to health, valuing the great efforts made by the government in ensuring the provision of food, water and health care for all citizens and residents.
