Collection for garage sale apace during Eid

Manama

During this Eid season, the Feed the Need charity group is actively collecting donations for its Garage Sale in Saar.

For the past three years, Feed the Need has been collecting donations especially during Eid in order to raise money for funding their fridges around the country.

For the first time, money was raised for orphans overseas. People have donated books, toys, clothes for children and adults, shoes, bikes, furniture, electrical goods, household goods, bed sheets, baby strollers etc. Anything in good condition will be collected six days a week excluding Friday.

EMEA Development Director, Michelle Bailey explained, “The garage sale is continuous, so people donate their used goods, still in good condition and I sell them for reasonable prices.  The whole money raised goes to buy food for the fridges.”

She also confirmed: “This Eid we have filled our fridges several times with over 1000 cooked meals and many grocery items.  This is made possible through my garage sale and the kind donations of food by helping families.” “Every couple of months unsold goods are donated and delivered to the mosques or to people working with families in need.”

For donations this Eid, pass by the Garage Sale located in Villa 26 Gulf Garden Compound in Sar or contact 39627883.
