Shura Council Speaker Highlights Role of Leadership in Advancing Democracy and Legislation

The democratic vision and leadership approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, have played a key role in strengthening Bahrain’s parliamentary and legislative development, Shura Council Speaker His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said.

Speaking on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism, observed annually today, Al Saleh highlighted the Kingdom’s progress in developing laws and institutions that support national development and enhance parliamentary work.

He praised the continuous royal support for the legislative authority, describing it as a foundation for Bahrain’s parliamentary experience and commitment to the principles of the rule of law and strong institutions.

The Shura Council Speaker also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in achieving national progress and supporting comprehensive development.

He noted that parliamentary diplomacy continues to play an important role in presenting Bahrain’s achievements at regional and international platforms.

Al Saleh reaffirmed the Shura Council’s commitment to serving the nation and citizens, while wishing Bahrain continued security, stability, and prosperity.
