Budaiya Residents Could Get New Seafront Walking Space

A 176-metre coastal walkway project has been proposed in Budaiya to create a new public recreational space for residents overlooking the seafront.
The proposal, submitted by Northern Municipal Council member Mohammed Saad Al Doseri, plans a 10-metre-wide walkway designed to provide safe walking areas, improve waterfront access and enhance community leisure spaces.
The Services and Public Utilities Committee unanimously approved the proposal and recommended referring it to the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture for further consideration.
Officials said the project would make better use of municipal land, preserve coastal access and support healthier lifestyles through walking and outdoor activity.
